Legal
Last updated: 26 October 2026
These terms cover the website at analogtv.net, including the Mechanical TV Lab, the controls reference and the community preset gallery, and any files you download from it. They are set by Ambor, which develops and publishes AnalogTV (for iPhone and iPad), Analog TV Simulator (for Mac) and AnalogTV for TV (for Apple TV), together "the apps". By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
The apps are sold and delivered through Apple's App Store. Your use of them is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless an app's App Store page names a different licence. Purchases, including in-app purchases such as NDI, are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms.
Test builds offered through Apple's TestFlight are governed by Apple's TestFlight terms. The Mac alpha build offered for download on this site is unsigned and experimental: it may be incomplete, may not work on your Mac, and is provided for testing only. Install it only if you are comfortable doing so, and keep backups of anything important.
You may browse the website, use its interactive tools and download the files it offers for your own use. Please do not:
Unless stated otherwise, the text, images, video and software on this website are © Ambor. Material from other people is used under its own licence and is credited on the Acknowledgements page. NDI®, Apple, App Store, Apple TV, Mac, iPhone, iPad and other names belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
The gallery lets anyone share and download AnalogTV "look" presets. No account is required.
When you submit a preset, you confirm that it is yours to share and that its name and description do not infringe anyone's rights. You grant Ambor a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute it on the website, and you allow anyone who downloads it to use it with the apps. You keep any rights you have in it. Do not submit content that is offensive, misleading, unlawful or infringing.
Moderation. Presets can be reported by other users and may be hidden automatically after several reports. Ambor may hide or remove any preset at its discretion and is not obliged to host any preset. To ask for a preset to be removed, including one you submitted, use the contact details below.
When you download a preset, you may use it with the apps for any purpose, including in videos you make. Presets are written by members of the public: Ambor does not check that they are accurate or suitable, and how a preset looks can depend on the app version you use.
How submissions and downloads are handled, including the hashed form of your IP address used to prevent abuse, is described in the Privacy Policy.
The apps and the website's tools process pictures, video, streams and sound that you choose. You are responsible for having the right to use that material, and for following the terms of any service you play through the apps, such as a stream, a Plex server or a network share.
The website and the apps link to, or use, services run by others, including Apple, Cloudflare, Plex, NDI and news feeds. Those services are governed by their own terms, and Ambor is not responsible for them.
The website, its tools, the gallery and the files offered for download are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, Ambor gives no warranty that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where the law allows Ambor to limit its liability for a breach of such a guarantee, its liability is limited, at its option, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
Subject to the section above, Ambor is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit or revenue, arising from your use of the website, its tools, the gallery or any downloaded file.
These terms may change. The current version is always published at this address with the date it was last updated. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
Questions about these terms can be sent through the Support page, the in-app feedback form (tap the menu, then Send Feedback), or the App Store page for AnalogTV, Analog TV Simulator or AnalogTV for TV.
